Hazel Grove is strung along the A6, and that main-road position is the single biggest factor in how properties here weather. Frontages facing the road pick up traffic film and exhaust grime far faster than the streets set back behind them, so brick, render and UPVC all end up looking grey and tired even when there is very little moss involved.
Most of the housing is Victorian and interwar terraces and semis with short driveways and flagged front paths. Our common Hazel Grove jobs are frontage cleaning that takes years of road grime off in one visit, front path and driveway steam cleaning, and gutter and fascia cleaning on the older terraces where the rainwater goods are high and awkward. Access along the A6 needs planning, so we schedule those jobs to avoid the worst of the traffic.
