Boothstown is a modern estate village — most of the housing went up from the 1990s onwards around the old Bridgewater Canal basin, which means brick and render elevations, concrete interlocking tiles and a lot of block-paved driveways. Those materials all age in predictable ways: render greens on the shaded side, block paving loses its jointing sand and sprouts weeds, and the canal-side properties pick up more damp-driven algae than the ones set back from the water.
Most of our Boothstown work is driveway and render cleaning on Leigh Road, Vicars Hall Lane and the estates off Newearth Road. Block paving is the big one here — cleaning it is only half the job, and if the joints are not re-sanded afterwards the weeds are back within months. We also do a lot of gutter, fascia and soffit cleaning, because on newer houses UPVC shows green streaking far more obviously than painted timber ever did.
