Alderley Edge is a village of large, well-kept detached homes, sandstone boundary walls and long private drives — and almost all of it sits under heavy mature tree cover. That canopy is lovely to live with and hard on exteriors: leaf fall blocks gutters by late October, constant shade keeps north-elevation stonework damp, and green algae takes hold on paving long before it would in a more open location.
We work along Macclesfield Road, Chorley Hall Lane and the lanes running up towards the Edge itself, and most of what we do here is careful low-pressure steam and softwash work rather than anything aggressive. Sandstone, natural stone flags and older brick all need treating gently, and the driveways here are usually big enough that a proper survey and a fixed price beat a guess over the phone.
